What to Expect at Disneyland This Summer

With the peak summer season just a month away, It's time for the theme parks to announce what's happening this summer that guests will be able to enjoy!

Of course we all know about Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! which is having its debut  on May 27th at Disney California Adventure. It will feature awesome mix tape inspired audio, multi ride experiences and great visual effects! I personally am very excited to experience the ride in July when i visit.

Disney California has dubbed this summer season, "Summer of Heroes" to celebrate the opening of the ride. It will take place from May 27th to September 10th where guests can enjoy a brand new meet and greet and a GOTG themed dance party with Groot!

Check out the commercial from Disneyland promoting "Summer of Heroes."

Also happening at DCA is the debut of Disney Junior Dance Party in Hollywoodland. This is an all new concert experience featuring Disney Junior faves such as Mickey and the Roadster Racers, The Lion Guard , Doc Mcstuffins and More!

In Disneyland, the Main Street Electrical Parade has had its final run extended until August 20th. Personally as someone who was never a fan of the parade when it ran at Disney World, i will probably only watch it during my visit to Disneyland because its been a while since i have seen a Disney parks nighttime parade in person.

Fantasmic! will be making its return to the delight of Disneyland fans this summer! It has been given brand new scene enhancements and effects and will include scenes from Tangled, Aladdin, Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean. Sadly, the peter pan scene has been removed to the disappointment of some fans. Personally im not a pan fan so it doesn't affect me.

Life will return to Rivers of America during the day as well as the Mark Twain Riverboat will return along with Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes and Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. This one in particular i have been really looking forward too.

Last but not least. the return of the Disneyland Railroad! I got a chance to explore the trains in depth while they were parked during construction and even speak with a conductor about the train history in connection with the parks. some of them are older than the park! Guests can enjoy views of a waterfall, cliffs and a gorge along the new path near Rivers of America, which i am very excited for!
