Operating Hours for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios
WDW and Universal Studios Orlando has made their operating hours for the summer season available now. As we know, the summer season is usually the busiest season for these parks and with Disney World opening Pandora and Universal opening Volcano Bay, it's going to be interesting.
Universal Studios
Starting June 18th until August 12th, Universal Studios Orlando will open at 9am and close at 10pm. Between August 13th until the 23rd they will open at 9am and close at 9pm. Finally, from August 24th until September 7th they will open at 9am until 8:30pm. Afterwards, hours of closing will vary between 5 and 8:30pm due to Halloween Horror Nights.
At Islands of Adventure, starting June 24th until August 12th the park will open 9am until 10pm. Between August 13th and August 18th, the park will open at 9am and close at 9pm. From August 19th until August 26th they will open 9am until 8pm and then from August 27th until September 20th they will open at 9am until 7pm.
No hours are currently available for Volcano Bay until its Grand Opening on May 25th.
Walt Disney World
In June and July, Magic Kingdom mostly closes at 10pm, occasionally closing at 11pm. As a matter of fact, the only time during the summer Magic Kingdom does not close at 10pm is August 25th aka the first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party night for the season. So the park will actually close at 7pm. Starting August 20th, the park will close at 9pm instead of 10pm.
With Pandora opening next month, Animal Kingdom gets a later bedtime. Previously reported is that Pandora will stay open until 1am for the summer so guests can enjoy the land at night. This summer Animal Kingdom will close at 11pm until July 4th then close at 10pm until August 5th. Pandora will begin closing with the park after July 4th as well. On August 6th,Animal Kingdom returns to an early bedtime at 9:30pm
Hollywood Studios will continue to have an early bedtime through June, closing at 9:30pm until August 20th when it will close at 9pm. I am honestly not sure how this will do for Hollywood Studios but i guess it makes sense considering the construction of a new land and not much to do in the summer there.
EPCOT will be the first to close during the summer with the earliest bedtime of 9pm.
In short, it seems like Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will be pretty busy this summer.
