Domestic Disney Parks Raises its Ticket Prices

Since 2002, Domestic Disney Parks have been steadily raising its ticket prices once a year (occasionally it has happened twice in one year.) In more recent years Disney has done it February of every year and this past sunday they did it again.

Let's begin with Disney World.



Disney World is not only raising its ticket and annual pass prices, but there are changes regarding expiration dates and purchasing online as well.

The one day ticket, or Value day ticket, will cost $99 now from its original $97. A $2 dollar increase like Disneyland’s. Mid tier tickets will $107 from its original $102 and peak season will go to $119 from $114. Disney has also put a premium on their admission so value and regular season prices will rise but the peak will remain the same at $124.
For Florida Resident gold passes with blackout dates, it will rise to $559 from $549 and platinum passes with no blackout dates will cost $679 from $649.
Starting tomorrow, all tickets will have expiration dates and the dates will vary. Also guests will purchasing tickets online or on their phone can save $20 on Magic your way bundles with 3 days to 10 days. The “water park and more” option will no longer be there, however it can be combined with a park hopper ticket. Finally, preferred parking will increase from $35 to $40.
Now onto Disneyland.

On value days, the lowest priced days of the year,  one day tickets will cost $97. On regular days it will be $110 and peak day will be $124. Value days will go up $2 while regular and peak will go up $5 each. Parking will go up to $20 from its original $18.
The Southern California Select and Southern California passes will be $339 and $469, both receiving $10 increases. Both have blackout days and the monthly payment options still stays as well although few believe that getting rid of that option William decrease crowds much better than tiered pricing.
the deluxe pass, which has some Saturday and peak holiday blackout periods, will jump to $619 , receiving a $20 price raise. The higher priced passes will remain the same for now.
