RUMOR: Disney's Grand Floridian to be Redesigned

I am very surprised to be even writing a blog post with this possibility.

In a surprising twist of events, the latest rumor going around within Disney Parks is that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa could possibly be gutted and reformed into a modern luxury resort.

The resort is 28 years old, has a 4.7 out of 5.0 star rating and combined Victorian elegance with modern sophistication for all these years.
According to the rumor Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts is not at all a fan of the resort which boasts the most expensive stays per night at Disney World. Apparently Chapek believes the Fours Seasons Resort Orlando is what the Grand Floridian should be more like. Executives are trying their best to talk Chapek out of completely gutting and remodeling the resort hotel. This is mainly because it is a well liked and very popular hotel with guests and it would cost a great deal of money to do so.

One proposed plan is that they build a new flagship hotel just north of the Transportation and Ticket Center instead but according to sources, execs have had no luck changing Chapek’s mind.
There are not even design plans on the table yet but if Chapek follows through and decides this plan will happen, the lobby and all of the rooms will be gutted and replaced with something more modern and luxurious.
