Are Disney's Cha cha bingo and Bubble girls Dancers?

This is an interesting debate going on between the performer union and Disney world currently. Are the cha cha bingo and bubble girls dancers?

They kick, twirl, kick their heels and more! But are they dancers?

The teamsters local 385 feels they are and should be given movers pay which allows them 50 cents an hour extra that is normally given to parade performers according to the orlando sentinel.

Disney will not comment on the case as it has gone to arbitration but according to Donna Dalton, a teamsters business agent, the company stated the girls are doing stylized walking during the parade and thus don not qualify for compensation. Dalton disagrees saying that the girls are doing intricate footwork that is required of a skilled dancer.
