The Disney Show No One is Talking About!

Before I begin this post, I just wanted to point out that this is the 100th post for PixieDustandPlanes!

Thank you so much to everyone for giving their continued support and giving such great feedback!

It's been such a joy to not only do something i enjoy but write about something i truly love!

Now onto the post!

One of the highlights of my trip to Disneyland Paris last month was seeing a brand new Disney Show! Disneyland Paris has a show called "The Forest of Enchantment."

To be honest, I had no idea what it was about or who was in it. But as we waited in line to enter we could hear what we believed to be the cast rehearsing.

My friend Anna was very excited to hear Pocahontas singing "Colors of the wind" as this is her favorite movie by Disney.

I was personally quite excited because Pocahontas, to my knowledge, is not in any Disney show with her own segment. Pocahontas is in "Mickey and the Magical Map" at Disneyland in Anaheim but she is with other characters from other movies.

(L-R) Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Pocahontas and Mulan in Mickey and the Magical Map
I was very happy to hear music from Tarzan music since he is pretty much nonexistent in any disney show currently.

So we were hoping it would be a closed theater since it was absolutely freezing that day but it was an open air type theater but it was a bit warmer inside.

I loved the stage setup!

They had a forest mist coming in, along with sounds of a forest like birds chirping. It was very peaceful. so peaceful that at first, you don't even realize the show has began!

Creeping on to the stage are spirits of the enchanted forest and forest animals.

They also go beyond the stage and out into the audience.

Finally all the characters return to the stage and we are introduced to our leader of the characters, who i call "Goddess of the Enchanted Forest" who lead the troupe into the opening song!

Once the opening song was over the led into a beautiful rendition of " you will understand" from "Pocahontas."

Yes.

They started the show off with Pocahontas.

And just like that Pocahontas pops up on stage!

and hold on to your hats ladies because CAPTAIN JOHN SMITH IN ALL HIS HANDSOME GLORY IS IN THIS TOO!

NOTE: I stupidly realized that the entire cast was singing live the second time i viewed the show.

\

We continue our adventures with a jazzy number with....... THE JUNGLE BOOK!

And our friends the Lilypad and the Lizard help King Louie and Baloo sing their classics "Bare Necessities" and "I Wanna Be Like You!"

Staying in the Jungle we have a rope drop onto stage and out comes Tarzan, who climbs the rope and starts an amazing acrobatic routine to "Son of Man."

Taking a break from the jungle (and the part where everyone gasps with excitement) is when rapunzel bursts onto stage with Flynn rider!

She begins to dance and sing the reprise for "when will my life begin?"

Immediately the set is turned into a lantern covered lake where Rapunnzel and Flynn sing "I see the light."

Personally i didn't even notice the accents until it was pointed out to me but it was beautifully sung in my opinion.

Rapunzel and Flynn sail off stage in their boat and it is quickly transformed into the forests of scotland.

Yup.

Merida is here!

And she moves so fast throughout the stage that you can almost barely get a photo of her. It took me three viewings of the show just to get a decent shot of her! She goes all about the stage, shooting targets from all heights and angles,  while the forest spirits and animals sing "Touch the Sky."

The big finale is upon us at this point and all the forest animals and spirits return doing a reprise of the opening song but with guests!

All the disney characters who joined them along the way come from the audience and join the singers on stage!

Overall this show is absolutely well done and a must do when visiting Disneyland Paris.

We saw it at least once everyday we were there!

Make time for it!
