Spring Break :Washington DC

So I recently returned from an awesome spring break vacation so i decided to take a small break from blogging but no i am back and ready to share my small adventures with you!

So during an easter brunch with my sister, we figured that we needed to go on a small trip during our breaks. At first we thought of new work to see a broadway show, however we wanted to see hamilton and unless you are rich beyond reason you can't get a ticket for that show.

Then, i suggested Washington DC since i have not really gone sightseeing there before despite living only an hour away.

So off we went the next day to Washington DC!

Our first sight of the city was the Washington monument and some of the beautiful cherry blossom trees at the national mall.

Our first stop was the White House!

We couldn't go inside unfortunately, you have to go through a really annoying process of requesting a tour through your local congressman, waiting a few weeks or months, getting approval, etc.

We were just happy enough to see it in person in all its glory.

Our next stop was Madame Tussand's DC which was super fun! It had a gallery of all of the U.S Presidents as well as famous celebrities!

Hanging out with Rosa Parks

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Kennedys (My Favorite Presidential couple)

The Reagans

My sister and I jamming out with Whitney Houston

Hilary and Bill Clinton
During the walkthrough you get a chance to become the president and take photos with 2 presidential backgrounds and with President Obama and the first lady!

Our final stop was my sister's choice, the international Spy museum.
Various way Spies hid in vehicles

Ninjas were a type of specialized spy

Female Spies were Important too!

They had a special exhibit for James Bond which was very extensively detailed.

Next door was a shake shack where we had lunch.
This was our first time eating here and we weren't disappointed.

Overall we didn't get to do everything we wanted, like the Smithsonian or the zoo, but luckily we live close enough where we can always have a day trip.
