Spring Break : Hersheypark

On my very last day of spring break I decided to take me, my sister, her friend and my friend johnny to hersheypark for their "Springtime in the Park" day.

Fortunately we live only an hour and a half away from Hersheypark so we can really go whenever we have money and free time. This was also my second time ever driving outside of the state. I am attempting to get some practice in for when i take that big drive to Orlando later this year.

It had been warm all weekend but it decided that day to be 40 and very windy. we didn't care though plus that day was the only day i could go because of work.

So we had to pick up my sister's friend who only lived 20 mins from us, then we headed to Pennsylvania to pick up my friend johnny who lives 3 hours from us and and 1 and a half hours away from hersheypark. so mainly the trip was just getting my friend haha. If you have read my DCP interview series posts then you may recognize him!

So we left at 6am, got to johnny at 9am and made it to the park at 10:30.

We entered the park and we split for a bit. Not many rides were open when we arrived due to the winds so we took pictures with characters and played arcade games. one ride was open upon entry into the park, The Comet.

This Photo got featured on the Hersheypark website!

Loved this shot!

SkyRush is the latest ride that was not open sadly
I got to ride a few rides i never got a chance to in my previous years of visiting hersheypark.

We rode the reeses Xtreme challenge indoor ride. It is a laser shooting target game similar to Toy Story Mania or Space ranger spin,

Fun fact : Im terrible at those kinds of ride games so I sucked haha

We passed a few unopen rides on the way including Farenheit

We made our way to Laff Trakk, another ride that I had never experienced before. Upon entry into the queue I was greeted by an attendant and "Laffin Sal"

Queue Line was made to look like a Fun house

Laffin Sal

Overall it was a really great ride. It was still pretty windy so we just walked around, got lunch and hung out at the arcades where we racked in almost 1200 tickets from one game!

We got rainbow squid hats as our prizes and gave the rest of the tickets to my sister and her friend.

For lunch and a snack I had a Mac and cheese burger with waffle fries while Johnny had BBQ chicken. Later we had Hot chocolate and chocolate covered bacon sprinkled with sea salt and it was yummy!!!!!

We made our way to ZooAmerica and barely explored it when i got a call from my sister saying that the Wildcat ride was open!

On our way there we discovered that the Great Bear Ride was opening up too and we were in the second group to ride!

The Wildcat Track

I had forgotten how rough the Wildcat was but it gives you the best adrenaline rush! While talking to other guests in line you can tell it was a big favorite with people.

I took my first ferris wheel ride ever too. I never had the chance to do so during my previous trips with family. It was a bit lackluster. We were the only ones on which was fun but it took us around twice and we were done.

Then me and johnny rode the wild mouse and its one of those rides where i feel like my heart is about to escape from my chest because the turns are so quick and sharp. It's very similar to Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom.

We did a few more rides since the wind died down and more rides began to open up!

The music Express was loads of fun!

Hersheypark's Monorail

Got some major Disney vibes when i saw Hershey's monorail but it was not open due to the winds so i couldn't do the comparison that i wanted to do.

Eventually we met back up with my sister and her friend and so we all rode Laff Trakk together and Sidewinder.

Closing time was nearing and we all wanted to hit Hershey's Chocolate World before we left so we made our way there.

I took a few pics along the way.

There was so much to do in Chocolate world.

You can see a 4D show, shop, eat and even make your own personalized chocolate bar!

We made our way to the Chocolate tour.

Entrance into Factory gave me Space Mountain vibes

We all got Kit Kats at the end of the tour (the best part!)

We did a bit of shopping and finally went home.

It was a #hersheyparkhappy day!
