Disneyland Paris: Inventions Brunch
During my time in Disneyland Paris, I was invited to attend a special Character brunch at the Disneyland Hotel with Jess and Anna.
We decided to dress for the occasion in Dapper dresses and inside the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel they had a floral canopy set up which was perfect for photo ops.
Guests arriving early waited in the Main Street Lounge outside of the restaurant which was a very relaxing atmosphere.
The Brunch was at a restaurant inside the hotel called "Inventions."
Its and amazing restaurant with three main dining areas. We were luckily seated in the buffet area and could see all the delicious food while there was a room to the left where you could see the castle and the room to the left where you could see Space Mountain.
On the ceiling were antique inventions such as typewriters, bicycles, etc thus the name of the restaurant. It was very well themed.
Every time they serve a brunch it has a different theme. It coordinated with the "Swing into Spring" Opening Weekend at the park and so the theme was "Spring."
Here was the Buffet setup which was aesthetically pleasing.
The food was amazing! it was totally on par with a buffet at the grand floridian. It included seafood salad, lobster tails, shrimp and prawn (as big as my hand!), loads of pasta dishes, crab legs, spaghetti and meatballs and the dessert was heavenly.
When we were first seated we were given a fresh basket of rolls and complimentary champagne.
Characters featured included Mary Poppins, Bert, Penguins, Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Pluto all dressed in Spring themed outfits.
Mary, Bert and the Penguins were the first to come around.
Pluto and Goofy were next,
Mickey and Minnie followed but did not come together to each table except when there were birthdays. If characters happened to meet together at a table passing by they would do photos together.
We were a bit surprised that Donald and Daisy were not a part of the brunch but overall our character interactions were fabulous. They were all very engaging and hilarious and spent a decent amount of time with every table. It gave groups enough time to make a plate of scrumptious food and return in enough time to enjoy it before characters made it to the table.
However for us we were in the part of the room where some characters started so we had just enough time to make plates before characters arrived then we would eat.
Brunch here was pretty decently priced. About 60 US dollars for adults and $30 for children and we all felt like it was definitely worth the money. If you have experienced a character buffet at the grand floridian it is about the same atmosphere but better in my opinion.
If visiting Disneyland Paris i would for sure look into this, especially if you have a family or just dining with a few friends on sundays.
